*Planning for Ramadan*

*Beautiful and useful solutions for optimal use of Ramadan:*

1- From now on, plan in such a way that you will be better after the holy month of Ramadan than at the beginning and during it.

2- Specify only five goals that you want to achieve in Ramadan, don’t expect to improve in every aspect at once.

3- Collective work, including collective worship, is easier for humans, so look for a group with whom you can perform your Ramadan activities, whether religious or group.

4- It has been proven that it is easier to achieve written goals than to achieve mental goals, so make sure to write down the goals you want to achieve in Ramadan.

5- Whoever intends to do a good deed and does it, God will write ten good deeds for him, and whoever intends to do a good deed but does not do it, God will write one complete good deed for him. So raise your will in Ramadan because you have benefited anyway.

6- It has been proven that goals that can be compared and measured are more likely to be realized than general goals. For example, don’t write in your schedule, I will try to read the Quran a lot in Ramadan, but write that I will have three endings.

7- Set a daily schedule and specify the waking time in it and stick to it. Don’t write down the bedtime, that is, don’t lie down until you feel sleepy.

8- Consider an opportunity to be alone with the Quran and never leave it.

9- Choose one and at most two useful TV programs and leave the rest, and if it is important to you, watch its repetition after Ramadan.

10- Go to a mosque for Taraweeh, especially one where they complete the Quran in Taraweeh.

11- Consider a certain part of the Qur’an for memorization and a part for recitation; It is better if you have a separate Mushaf for each. There is no problem if they are similar.

12- Do three things in relation to the Quran:
a) allocate a certain section for preservation;
b) more part for recitation;
c) Surahs that you read most for interpretation.

13- Before the arrival of Ramadan, write the program and review it several times to welcome Ramadan with better intentions and sincerity.

14- Some believe that the quantity of reciting the Quran is important, and some place more value on its understanding and deliberation; I suggest you combine both so that you dedicate a quarter of your Quranic time to interpretation.

15- If you are going to meet a generous person, you must know what you will ask him; [The best description and example is from God] So specify your prayers. God loves the servant of Egypt.

16- Sleep and television ruin the beautiful opportunity of Ramadan; Specify an hour for each of these two and do not engage in these two more than that. The opportunity of Ramadan passes quickly and whoever misses it has lost.

17- The biggest cause of failure is lack of will to plan; Before Ramadan, devote two hours to writing your Ramadan plan and try to make every goal you write comparable and measurable.

18- Some look at Ramadan as an opportunity to eat better and watch various series and competitions; Decide how much you can change this idea.

19- Umar – may Allah be pleased with him – says: I don’t think so much about the answer to the prayer as I think about the prayer; So plan for prayer and divide it into several parts: prayer for yourself, for family, for friends and acquaintances, and for Ummah. Hoping that Almighty God will accept our prayers.

(And may God bless him and grant him peace)
