Referendum or plebiscite is a method for making major decisions about the administration of the country in many societies, but not in all societies. In societies where the heart of the sky has opened and a number of God’s full-authority representatives have fallen into their arms, the decisions of those individuals express the will of the entire nation and there is no need for referendums anymore.

When the referendum of the Islamic Republic was held in 1358, probably few people guessed that the new government of Iran would soon ban any #referendum regarding the type of government. are not

According to Article 177 of the Constitution: (The content of principles and laws related to the Islamic nature of the system, which was the most important goal of the establishment of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the principle of the absolute authority of the righteous jurist, cannot be changed by relying on public opinion, of course, this principle exists in the 1358 Constitution. It did not have and it was one of the two changes that were added to the constitution during the leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei, but this law becomes important when it is placed next to one point:

40 years ago, the minimum age of the participants in the referendum of the Islamic Republic was 16 and their year of birth was at least 1342. In the last official census of Iran, which was held in 1395, the citizens who participated in the referendum of the Islamic Republic were at least 53 years old, which is about 15 and a half percent of the population. They know that Iran is currently constituted, which means that the Islamic Republic is a government that something like 15% of Iran’s citizens today had the opportunity to vote for it or not, but according to the existing constitution, the remaining 85% of Iran’s population do not have the right to any new referendum on choosing their type of government! !

That is, theoretically, if even one percent of citizens who voted in 1358 are still alive today, it is impossible to hold a referendum to change the Islamic Republic, a prohibition that according to the existing constitution is established as long as the Islamic Republic of Iran with its current definition is established. It will absolutely exist

We live in a world where the mayor of Munich puts the matter to a referendum to decide on high-rise buildings, but in this country, some people sit in rooms with closed doors and make decisions that affect people’s livelihood today and tomorrow, and there is no need. They don’t see the referendum!!! Aren’t the principle of referendum and the principle of absolute sovereignty both in the same constitution? Why is one #haram and the other #sacred???

Let’s assume that Israel is a criminal, a hypocrite, a wrong mother, a child killer, a usurper, and whatever you say, but one question: who entrusted the task of destroying Israel to the current generation? During which referendum did we come to the conclusion that this generation should pay for the destruction of Israel?? Based on the same referendum of 1358 in which even many fathers did not participate??
