Teaching environmental issues to 6 thousand citizens of region 9
The mayor of Region 9 announced the implementation of environmental education for 6,000 citizens and the implementation of 9 special programs since the beginning of 1402 until now in the west of Tehran.
According to the public relations report of District 9 Municipality; Syed Mohammad Rahim Mortazavi, the mayor of Region 9, announced this news and said: In order to empower citizens and their participation in environmental activities, face-to-face, virtual trainings and special programs are being implemented in this regard.
He added: In this regard, the municipality of Region 9 has provided face-to-face training to 5,000 people and virtual training to 1,000 citizens since the beginning of the year.
The mayor of Region 9 stated: Also, 9 special educational programs including; Welcoming Spring, Earth Hour, Clean Earth Day, World Biodiversity Day, Decade Without Plastic Bags, Environment Week and Honoring Environmentalists, Welcoming Mehr, World Car Free Day, Environmental Protection Campaign during Muharram so far this year The current has been implemented with environmental themes.
Mortazavi stated: holding an educational workshop on World Car Free Day, holding booths and distributing cloth bags and environmental books to citizens in parks, fruit and vegetable fields and environmentally friendly bakeries, teaching environmental issues in Regional schools and implementation of educational workshops in this regard in flower and plant clinics, mosques and gardens in Region 9 are among the implementation programs in this regard.
He also said: the implementation of the first educational and research league of environmental assistant for preschool children, trainings such as how to teach the book of environmental assistant to preschool teachers, as well as training on how to make flower beds using recycled materials, training on planting and maintaining plants Air purifiers, teaching conservation and saving water and energy consumption, separating dry and wet waste, teaching clean air, protecting trees and forests to students are among other environmental issues that can be implemented.
This senior urban official in Region 9 reminded: Currently, 800 NGO members and 100 volunteers, including teachers and environmental activists, are active in the environmental houses of Shamshiri, Imamzade Abdullah, and Dastghib neighborhoods, which is the basis for increasing the sense of responsibility. and citizen participation in solving environmental problems in the western neighborhoods of Tehran.
