(Emphasizing that the drought has caused irreparable damage to the agricultural sector) these losses are more in animal husbandry and a large population of the country’s livestock has faced the lack or absence of animal feed.
The lack of animal feed in sufficient quantity and at a reasonable price has caused us to witness the killing of productive animals
At least 10 to 12 years are needed to restore productive livestock that are killed and compensate for heavy losses.
In this situation, only the timely supply of livestock inputs at the right price can prevent further losses.
We have documents that show that the Central Bank has deliberately interfered with the supply of currency for the clearance of these goods.
Yesterday, a meeting of the Parliament’s Agriculture Committee was held with the presence of the deputies of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad and the Central Bank, and it was decided that whatever the Ministry of Jihad and Agriculture announces about the foreign exchange needs of importing livestock inputs, the Central Bank will provide it.
Askari also announced the entry of security forces into the issue of disruption in the supply and distribution of livestock inputs.
