Second doctorate in Turkey
Stock Exchange Type: State Stock Exchange of Turkey (YTB Organization)
In the third year of Iran’s doctorate, I applied to the stock market. Due to the fact that the focus of this scholarship was on high averages and especially the first student, I was accepted in the first stage. And subsequently, I was also accepted in the interview that was held at the Younes Amre organization in Tehran. The interview was general, not specialized, and general questions were asked, why did you choose Turkey? The interview was conducted either in Turkish, English or Farsi.
I did not mention my second doctorate in my registration profile, nor did I mention it on the day of the interview. I had several articles in my doctoral course, and I had uploaded all of them to the system, and there was no problem. There was no problem at the embassy because they asked for all the documents needed for a doctorate and nothing else, so there was no problem.
From the point of view of the military, I was an elite soldier while applying for the exchange, and when the result of the exchange was announced, my service was over, and two days before the flight, my exit permit was OK, and I did not have any problems from this point of view. I had released the bachelor’s and master’s degrees and I had no problem in this regard. But some friends who have a temporary degree were able to register by translating the same degree in Turkey and submitting it to the Turkish Stock Exchange and the university, and there was no problem for them, but it was about 3 years ago, maybe the process has changed now.
I did not withdraw from my doctorate, I was in the process of writing my thesis and I wrote my own doctoral thesis in Turkey and defended it this September (97).
But studying a second doctorate in Turkey and even a first doctorate is not very interesting for those who are looking to work and live in Turkey. There is a problem of working for foreigners. Turks are mostly looking for their own employment and they don’t show happiness to foreigners unless the field and the person themselves are very top and have a party like Iran, in that case they can find a job. Living in Istanbul is more difficult because of the high cost and the city is very crowded, but it is a very beautiful city and has more job opportunities than other cities. In other cities, the costs are low and there is no news of Istanbul being crowded. In general, for those who are looking for academic work and faculty recruitment. In my opinion, Turkey can’t be a good place because they have work problems and on the other hand, they don’t show happiness to foreigners.
I am in my second year, of course, I also took Turkish language preparation for 1 year. Field of natural geography, hydrology and meteorology.
Many thanks to our dear friend Mehdi
