The temporary route of Ayatollah Saeedi Highway on the eastern side of Fatah Square is ready for operation in order to implement the project of extending the western branch of Yadgar Imam Highway.
According to the public relations report of District 9 Municipality; Seyyed Mohammad Rahim Mortazavi, the mayor of the region, referring to the importance of the implementation of the project of the extension of the western branch of Yadgar Imam highway in the west of Tehran, said: according to the demands of the people and in order to solve the traffic problem in the western part of Tehran, the implementation operation of the project of connecting the extension of the western branch The Yadgar Imam (RA) highway to Fatah Square is being implemented at a fast pace with the emphasis of the senior urban management and the urban complex supervisors in Region 9, and its construction workshops are operating around the clock.
He added: In order to speed up construction operations at the beginning of the project of the extension of the western branch of Yadgar Imam highway, J Square will be closed for one year. Therefore, for the welfare of the citizens, a temporary traffic diversion route will be made on Ayatollah Saidi Highway from the south of Fatah Square to the north. It is 500 meters long with 2000 tons of asphalt and can be used.
The mayor of Region 9 reminded: Currently, the western part of the city of Tehran lacks a continuous north-south highway, which we hope with the final exploitation of the project of the extension of the western branch of the Yadgar Imam (RA) highway in the not too distant future, we will witness a reduction in the traffic load in the west of the metropolis of Tehran and facilitate traffic of the citizens and finally provide their satisfaction.
It should be noted that the project of extending the western branch of Yadgar Imam highway to Fatah Square is a 2.5 km long highway project in Region 9 with a series of uneven intersections that connects J Square to the west of Fatah Square.
