The most important paradox in our country is the opposing view of the two factions of the government towards the international environment

The most important paradox in our country is the opposite view of the two factions of the government towards the international environment. One way of thinking that forms the appointed faction sees the world as a collection of force, oppression, corruption and domination, which must be distanced from it for the country’s excellence so that the country is not exposed to inappropriate cultural changes, and another way of thinking that is usually the electoral faction of the government He also believes in some kind of interaction and bargaining with the world, through which some material, technological and cultural privileges are obtained for the country.

This paradox has started since the establishment of the Islamic Republic and the drafting of the constitution, because the theocracy and democracy have very weak links. In democracy, it is based on the majority, while in the theocracy, the majority cannot be the basis of the law, because there is another source through which whatever the majority wants must pass. Without discussing whether this method is right or wrong, it can be said that these two are not related. For example, the question of whether supporting the Palestinian issue is within the framework of Iran’s national interests can be answered in two ways

One is yes, because if we define the first link of our identity as Islam, how can a Muslim be indifferent to the situation of another Muslim, and secondly, it is not good, because if we only think about the progress of Iran’s economy, this progress requires interaction with the world and interaction. He wants political compatibility with the world. Interestingly, it is possible to infer from religious texts for both views, but the paradox of #interaction_or_confrontation with the world leads to other paradoxes, some of which we mention:

On the one hand, we want to be a normal government that deals naturally with the world, and at the same time, we want to fight, protest, and seek justice outside our borders.

We want to do economic privatization, which requires interaction, coordination and compatibility with foreign private banks and multinational companies of the world, and at the same time, we want to question the existing world order with a revolutionary foreign policy and with the governments that these banks and companies Let’s fight with their heart
We want to join the GATT and the World Trade Organization and we want to have a political and philosophical conflict with the same seven industrialized countries and confront them, but when America, Germany and Japan make up 60% of the international economy, then Iran must choose between membership in the organizations world and choose one to fight them
We want to have a relationship with the opponents and the opposition of the governments, as well as with the governments themselves, because the relationship with the opponents provides the funds of our anti-dominion and the contact with the governments leads to the expansion of political and economic relations.
The Islamic Republic wants the West’s economy and a $10 billion oil contract, but it does not accept its politics, culture, and philosophy. The West, on the other hand, considers itself a complete set of economics, philosophy, politics, and culture, which must either be accepted or denied. . For example, the European Union says that it wants to work with Iran on the condition that Iran signs the human rights agreement, but since the Islamic Republic does not have the intellectual and structural preparation to move in line with the world, it is natural that it faces sanctions in the economic field and its access to Western resources and facilities should be limited.
