The strange encounter of the cultural heritage of the central province with the issue of the destruction of an ancient hill;

For several years now, the 6,000-year-old hill of the National Register of “Qalae No” village has been destroyed.

Activists of cultural heritage of the central province are talking about a strange incident in the ancient hill of “Ghale No” village, 24 km away from Arak, by sending photos. A village that even has an ecotourism residence and is apparently considered a tourist village.

While warning and declaring that there are only a few thousand meters left from the ancient hill of the national register and it was destroyed recently, they say that according to the obtained pottery, the data of this hill belonged to the Kora-Ars culture. (a civilization that existed from about 4000 BC to about 2000 BC, but in some areas it is possible that it disappeared in early 2600 or 2700 BC. This civilization lived in Iran for a considerable time. )

Heritage activists say, unfortunately, this hill has been destroyed many times in these four years, and now a large part of the hill’s data has been destroyed.

They emphasize that this hill and its data in Central Province are very special.
Activists say that a part of this hill was destroyed before Nowruz.

In the remains of these destructions, several healthy containers and burials were seen, and the Cultural Heritage Department was informed about the story, and with the presence of experts and the heritage protection unit, the remaining data from the destruction of the loader was collected and transferred to the department.

Data that includes 7 very luxurious and special dishes from Kora Ares culture, which are known as Nakhjavani dishes.

Apparently, a group of cultural heritages sued a person who claims ownership of the hill, and the trial court issued a decision not to verify his ownership due to the lack of proof of the ownership claim of this person, but apparently, in the subsequent legal proceedings, the decision was issued in favor of the claimant of ownership.

Now the question is, is this the only hill of national registration that is not a government? And are all the owners of the ancient hills in their properties easily allowed to destroy the ancient hills of the national register with loaders and heavy machinery?

Second, having such magnificent works, firstly, why was the hill not purchased and liberated, or why no archaeological excavations were carried out on it and its works were not saved? Has the area and the hill’s privacy been prepared and announced? Were there any structural remains in the heart of the hill? What was the reason for the delay and negligence regarding the protection of this hill?

Whether Som Tepe has a private owner or a government, there are and still are restrictive laws regarding the effect of national registration. It is not possible to turn a blind eye on this ancient hill and destroy it just by being a private owner.

How very important data that shows the age of a province, city and village are under the shadow of silence of cultural heritage in complete destruction, that too in a village that is only 24 kilometers away from Arak.
