The Suez Canal is unblocked: we pulled it out!
The rescue operation of the grounded container ship Ever Given in the Suez Canal has been declared a success by a specialist rescue team.
This giant ship, 400 meters long and nearly 60 meters wide, had been stuck in this vital shipping lane since March 23, 2021, blocking all shipping traffic since then.
To float the 224,000 ton container ship, approximately 30,000 cubic meters of sand were dredged to help free the vessel, and a total of eleven harbor tugs and two powerful offshore tugs were involved in the operation. Join us: @Madeh_33
