There is always debate among architects about whether it is architectural engineering, or whether it is more oriented towards artistic and historical issues

There has always been a difference of opinion among architects on whether it is architectural engineering, or whether it is more oriented towards artistic and historical issues. A group of architects do not consider themselves engineers and believe that architecture goes beyond engineering sciences to define and design human living space; And for this reason, they feel a deep connection between architecture and sciences such as psychology, sociology, art history, philosophy, etc.; On the other hand, another group believes that an architectural product, in terms of its structural structure, needs to know engineering sciences that an architect is required to know.
In this meeting, which is held on the occasion of Engineer’s Day, we intend to hold a debate between the above two groups, represented by Dr. Simon Ayvazian and Dr. Javad Thaghafi, who are veterans of teaching architecture in universities and prominent architects of recent decades in Iran, in order to find ways and Why should we follow these two views with a wider view.
