Today, on the way back from work, there was a protest meeting for the death of George Floyd in downtown Oakland

Today, on the way back from work, there was a protest against the death of George Floyd in downtown Oakland, and I took the following pictures. Some points that were seen in the atmosphere of protest are as follows:

* First, unlike the videos and news reports from TV and Being in the public space, a strange energy was felt. I think the biggest reason is because of #Corona. The people who came know that this may cost them their lives. More than two months of social distancing and now, only anger.
In the middle of the screams, I felt for a moment that the human body was shaking in this dense volume of anger and will that is in this space. The type of riots and shouts seemed to be different from the society in times when the discussion of “death and virus” is not in the middle.

* Second, this story of George Floyd’s death will end at the cost of the death of thousands of other people. Despite more than two months of strict quarantine (which has broken the back of the American #economy), “hundreds of people” died from #Corona. That is, despite all the “social distance” and staying at home, “hundred thousand corpses” were left on the hands of the country, and now these entanglements and spilling on the streets, it is not known how many thousands more deaths will be left on the hands of the cities? Ten thousand corpses? twenty thousand?. What is known is that the death of George Floyd caused all those quarantines and stay-at-homes to end.

In the meantime, the happiest people in the world are Chinese politicians whose backs were bent by a virus once, and now the story of the unjust killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

*Thirdly, so far, things are still in Trump’s favor. These events will not increase Joe Biden’s vote basket much, but these crowds and protests will make Trump’s supporters angry and stronger in voting for him. For those who felt a bone in their throat during the eight years of #Obama, these crowds will be a reason for them to “definitely” vote for Trump if the “representative” of this group and Obama’s representative does not come to work.
(unless something else happens and the anger in the community increases)

* Finally, from the university road to downtown Oakland, I really felt sorry for the policemen along the way. In the heat of the weather, with these heavy uniforms and accessories, you come and stand for hours and hear all kinds of curses, and then they shout in your face and then you get corona. And your family is in mourning.
for what Because you need 2000 salary per month to make a living. (Salaries that you carry over to Valdhariyat from this month to the next month)
In the penultimate slide, when several people came and shouted in the police’s face, “Shame on you”, when the young policeman was silently looking into the face of the bully, I said to myself, “Two faces of one.” Opposite coin!

This one, angry and furious with this dilemma of life in which he is stuck, is shouting, and the other one has to stand and curse because of two thousand salaries and to pay the electricity bill, house rent and bank installments.
for this damn life

I remembered Rumi’s poem and the expression he used “world of famine”:
Get rid of this
World of famine
that in him/
For two or three breads
Sanan’s wound
comes

(*Barhidit: Let go?!)

The next ten slides are images related to the last part of the note above. A police force that has to eat both heat and cursing and corona. To pay the bills of life
