# What is a diagram?
There are several types of diagrams in architecture:
Communication diagram
Spatial importance diagram
Lighting diagram
Space classification diagram in many respects

Communication diagram:
In the plan drawing, we have spaces on each floor, such as:
child Room
parents room
kitchen
catering
living room
the staircase
.
.
.
In this diagram, we write each space in a bubble (circle).
And we specify the type of connection between these together with lines
For example, if the kitchen is directly connected to the reception, we connect and direct it with a straight line (first-class connection).
If the connection between the child’s room and the living room is different from the connection between the kitchen and the living room and is weak, we connect the child’s room to the living room with a dashed line.
In this diagram, the weaker the connection type, the weaker the quality of the connecting line.
Spatial importance diagram:
This diagram shows the importance of spaces
For example, in a school plan, we classify the spaces according to the importance of peace in the space
In the school, the library should be very calm
We write those spaces that are less important in a rectangle
The rest of the spaces are written on that rectangle in other rectangles.
Lighting diagram of spaces:
This diagram is very similar to the spatial importance diagram, with the difference that this criterion for separating and dividing spaces is based on the natural lighting of the spaces.
For example, in the hospital, the chief’s room receives more light than the surgery room, so it is placed at the top.
In drawing a diagram, several spaces may be placed on the same level, and this is not a problem.
space classification diagram in several ways;
This diagram is completely tasteful, innovative and creative.
Someone may draw a diagram to classify spaces based on the amount of use of natural materials such as wood.
Maybe someone can draw a diagram to classify the area of the spaces.
The drawing of this diagram is very similar to the diagram of spatial importance, but the student can show creativity in drawing the graphic type of the diagram.
For example, we will divide the spaces based on area
Bedroom 12 meters
Kitchen 15 meters
Reception area 25 meters
Living room 32 meters
.
.
.
Then we put these spaces in order.
diagram view:
It is clear from the name of this diagram that it wants to classify spaces based on visibility
We classify the spaces according to good, medium and poor visibility.
For example, the warehouse has a poor view in front of the living room
For example, the child’s room has an average view in front of the kitchen.
